Progressions Instrument Drive -- Donate Today

Do you have an instrument you'd like to get rid of? Progressions, San Jose Jazz's pioneering K-12 youth development program, is taking instruments in any condition to help start the instrumental component of our music education initiative. Specifically, Progressions is looking for trumpets, trombones, clarinets and flutes.

Don't have an instrument to donate? No problem. You can also offer financial support to help us off-set the cost of refurbishing instruments before they are issued to students.

If you'd like to donate or have any questions, you can contact Matthew Frederickson at (209) 968-6747 or matthewf@sanjosejazz.org or visit the instrument drive page on our website. You can also donate instruments in person at our San Jose Jazz office (MAP) from 9am-4pm Monday-Friday. Instrument donations are tax-deductible.

Brubeck Brothers Quartet
Friday, September 20, 7:30-9:30pm
Cafe Stritch (MAP)
$25 advance; $27 door, cash only

The Brubeck Brothers -- Dan and Chris -- are joined by guitarist Mike Dimicco and pianist Chuck Lamb in a tribute to their late father. The brothers have performed in concert series and at colleges and festivals, including the Newport, Detroit, Ravinia, Las Vegas, Sedona, Spokane and Monterey Jazz festivals. All About Jazz wrote about their most recent release, Classified, "Once again the Brubeck Brothers Quartet attains that rarefied level where music is both relaxed and expressive, and their joy in its creation is contagious. There's really nothing out there that comes close to their unique brand of inventiveness." Buy Tickets
