| The Village Voice & Stella Artois present a special screening of The World's End on Wednesday, August 21st at 7pm at a Manhattan Theater. Exclusive screening to Village Voice Film Club Members only! After-party to follow sponsored by Stella Artois. Director Edgar Wright and actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunite for a third film following the successes SHAUN OF THE DEAD (2004) and HOT FUZZ (2007). In THE WORLD'S END, 20 years after attempting an epic bar crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell-bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled bar — The World's End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind's. Reaching The World's End is the least of their worries. Enter for your chance to attend the free screening for you and one (1) guest. By entering you are not automatically guaranteed a ticket to the screening. Those chosen will be emailed a ticket in advance of the screening which they must present onsite. Ticket valid for the ticket holder and one (1) guest ONLY. Seating is not guaranteed and is on a first come first serve basis. Admission is based on capacity. Must be 21+ to attend the after-party. |
